What I'm Listening To: Woman Like Me- Beyonce
I just put a new layout on the website and updated it, so I'm excited about that. I also made a new YouTube video for my upcoming book The O.C. Period: a poetry chronicle of outta-control periods. If any of you have time, you should check it out here
The website has undergone a lot of changes, like sprucing up the Nostalgia page and adding a little more life to it. This should tide me over until my friend finishes my new amazing website that I hope to see soon.
Other than that, I have a Miss Black and Gold Informational to attend tonight, and my sister is modeling in a fashion show for her school and I'm going to Milwaukee to teach the girls how to walk and everything, just like Michelyn taught me. So it should be fun. Keep looking out for updates, especially because we've got the New York Conference coming up November 5 and 6th in New York City. Yes!
I'm also writing Nikki Giovanni back today, and a friend told me about a black society for poets called Cave Canem, and they have an event the day I'm going to be in New York. I'm really excited to meet them and see how I can be involved. I'll keep you posted :)
