What I'm Listening To: Now That We Found Love-The O'Jays
One of the best things that I took away from the retreat at Osthoff was GOYA which stands for (G)et (O)ff (Y)our (A)natomy (for the sake of keeping it clean). It seems that I have been doing that and have been taking initiative for quite some time now, but I think that I needed the Cuban guy to remind me that anything is possible if you don't lie to yourself or second guess yourself and just believe in your own strength so that you can fly.
Now I'm back in Madcity, doing my duty and waiting for tomorrow to come so that I can wonder again how I can better myself and get everything for my semester in Spain all sorted out.
I think another important thing that I took from our speaker Andreal Davis. She read a work in which she repeatedly entreated us to TELL YOUR STORY. IT MUST BE TOLD. I truly and honestly believe that. So I will concentrate on being able to have someone represent my work so that I can tell my story that needs to be told.
