What I'm Listening To: All I do is Win- DJKhaled ft. Ludacris, T-Pain, Snoop Dog, etc..(everybody)
So I was checking out grad schools this weekend and have decided to go overseas in the UK for various reasons.
0. I love culture, meeting new people and seeing new things. Child of the world ;)
1. most programs you finish in a year
2. while the cost of living may be higher, tuition is CHEAP so coupled with the cost of living that would be like the only the tuition for some of the schools here.
3. You get an awesome degree recognized anywhere in the world
4. I want a semi-authentic British accent
5. I'll be done with school faster and in the work force
6. I'll get to be in EUROPE and do amazing things like learn Spanish and French and TRAVEL.
So I'm loving this. I'm literally amped out of this world. I think that I'm actually going to stay over there for a couple of years, maximum 5, just because you can't explore that amazing continent in only a year. It will be a super big adventure, but I do realize that I need another degree after this, and I need a side job. Mind you, I haven't hammered out the finer details but at least I know where I'm going. I am going to travel my young butt off after grad school and get some work as well. I definitely want to get a job over there and just live for about 5 years. The two schools that I am seriously considering are the London School of Business and Finance and MMU (Manchester Metropolitan University) So here's to the first of much loved research!
On another note, today was my parents' anniversary, so we ate at Yen Ching, and awesome Chinese-Mandarin restaurant that we eat at every New Year's and a few times a year. It was delish as usual and our waitress was amicably talkative. We like her. I think we've been frequenting this restaurant for at least seven years because they know us, expect us every year, and treat us extremely well. My brother and sister have gone off to New Orleans for a slight vacation and bible camp and I'm still working at my internship. Literally, it's been like the night of the living cookie at my house though. We need to stop baking.I'm still doing the internship and loving it and I have passed up the 50,000 word mark for the book. Definitely excited and can't wait to finish it up this summer.
