What I'm Listening To: Everyday Superhero-Smashmouth
While the above doesn't necessarily equal a formula for my well-being, it is darn near close to it. Finals are finally DONE so I really feel the meaning of "Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty I'm free at last" tonight. I just got finished with my last exam (which was supposed to last until 9:30 tonight) about fifteen minutes ago. While I was multi-tasking studying for this Weather and Climate exam, I was watching Oprah for the first time in a long time because it was the episode where Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, and Robert Pattinson were all on. Dakota Fanning also made an appearance. K-Stew was awkward as usual. Seriously, while listening to her I wanted to split my ears. In my opinion, she basically acts like she is and like she talks anyway and they seriously type-casted her for Bella, which would be all right if she actually acted and didn't act like herself.
Overall, I thought that the episode was good, but when they had Taylor and Rob go surprise people, they picked the creepiest, most extreme people who I think should honestly go see a psychiatrist. Especially those moms. Naming them "Twi-moms" and saying that Twilight "spiced up their love life" is ridiculous and depressing. You need help. You are 45 and married but you have a crush on a 24 year old and pretending that this is normal. Continuous fantasizing about someone other than your partner is dangerous for any relationship. Even worse is the obsession with Taylor Lautner. He's barely legal and you're a middle aged woman drooling all over him probably with kids of your own the same age. If millions of middle aged women were drooling over your son, wouldn't you be alarmed? His mother probably thought you all needed to be jailed for being pedophiles and shaking her head at you, concerned that you were even in the same room with her son. But of course it's fine when women do it, when men do it we would have a problem with it. Perverts. *now getting off of soap box*
I actually have some book stuff as well. Now that school is over, I can finally get back to writing the new book and double proofing the old book. Agent Nathan Bransford also had an awesome post today on his blog about how to write pitches from the one liner to one paragraph to two paragraphs. I think it's very useful and that all authors should definitely have their pitches ready at all times. Now all I have to do is see about how to most effectively pack up my dorm room...

What's up my Tweeples? & the R-word
What I'm Listening To: Clandestino-Manu Chao
I just had the most awkward conversation with my mom about Twitter. She wanted me to say hey to my tweeples. I love my mother, but we had to put a stop to that. She apparently got it from my brother (who doesn't even have a Twitter) and I doubt that people even say that. But if they do, please enlighten me.
I haven't finished this 5 page paper for my Antro 277 class yet, and hopefully that will change like pronto. So this will definitely be a short entry.
What I did want to address is a diversity meeting that took place tonight (I was there in spirit). I think it was a great move in the right direction. My views on the issue: of course minorities shouldn't be let into an institution ONLY based on race. But if they get into a school based on merit and then their race is a factor that makes them more attractive to a school (face it, you need us) then who am I to argue. And who are you to argue. My roommate and I were talking about this. The problem is people thinking that minorities are only in schools because of their race. Most of us worked hard to get where we are. Assumptions get people no where and make you know whats out of people.

On another note, I am so late in seeing the SNL clip where Taylor Swift plays K-Stew playing Bella Swan and Edward is Frankenstein. HILARIOUS. I am liking that girl more and more every day.
And now that is is officially past 1:08am, I'd better get to beasting that paper. Ciao!

Saw New Moon! & Rachelle's not in Eclipse....
What I'm Listening To: I'm not who I was-Brandon Heath
So I saw New Moon today, and I have to say that it was 10 times better than Twilight (I think it was totally the director switch). Even though some parts at the beginning were a little too overly cheesy, and the script was horrible in some parts, or maybe it might have been the actors' ability to portray the emotion needed. I'm not a diehard Kristen or Rob fan (Kristen more than Rob, I honestly think that her best work is Speak), but Taylor Lautner was simply amazing with his acting, no complaints there. Plus, some people at my job were totally creeping/almost pedophile in our assessment of all the hard work he put into keeping his role (when Taylor hits the gym, he HITS the gym). And we are all pleased, and belatedly remembered that he is now Taylor Swift's boyfriend. I guess it's a rumor now, but People Magazine confirmed it, and then took it off. Although that didn't stop us from coming up with nicknames for the two of them. TayTay Swizz, T squared, T Swizzle, and my personal favorite, T Swiftner. I want to see how they both act in their upcoming movie Valentine's Day. And I'm sure if they were going out, they would have plenty of adoring fans gunning for the union.
Also, while I was browsing though all the Twilight/New Moon information, I found that Summit issued a statement saying that Rachelle Lefevre was going to be replaced in Eclipse by Bryce Dallas Howard. I knew this about a week ago because I follow her on Twitter. She seemed shocked by the decision, so I don't know if I buy the whole scheduling conflict story because I read that Jason Rathbone (sp?) who plays Jasper was working on something and they worked with him. I haven't seen any of the other actress' work, but Rachelle was dynamite as Victoria and had a huge relationship with her fans. I'm not going to judge the other actress or down her, in order to give a fair assessment, but I will say she has a lot to live up to if she's going to take Rachelle's place as Victoria. Anyway, if you're unhappy with the decision, there is a petition going around on the web to get Rachelle back in Eclipse.
Overall, I'd give the movie a 4.5/5 and can say that I'm going to see it two more times 1 with the little sis and another with the best friend. Twilight fans, you DEFINITELY won't be disappointed ;)
