What I'm Listening To: Crazy(Pitbull featuring Little Jon)

Aaaargh! Midterm season. Actually, I almost feel guilty because I haven't taken any midterms and everyone else has been complaining about them. I've been relaxing almost too much, but I'm going to get back in the game, especially with writing Nikki Giovanni back.

I'm planning my trailer for YouTube, and a lot of my classmates have agreed to come down and do it for me. So I'm excited. I have somewhat of an idea as to who I'm going to cast as who, but I'm still getting location sites and scoping some things out. I feel worn out because I haven't written in a while, much less done anything constructive really except plan out this movie trailer. I think I almost got confirmation from the principal at my high school to do the trailer there, so I'm excited. Now I just have to get the other location sites down and we're all good!

Also, I was watching movies, like a lot of them this weekend, and I have to say that Jennifer's Body ended up being ok, but The Mask of Zorro and the Legend of Zorro were awesome. I REALLY need to go do something, like homework, as soon as I get off of work...

other random note: Victor Webster has a Twitter.
(It's funny because I'll be talking about him to someone and they'll go "Who is that?" [shame on them...] or they say that I talk about him as if he's someone I personally know. Interesting...)

Midterm Season

What I'm Listening To: I Gotta Feeling (Black Eyed Peas)

I've learned a lot of things in the past few weeks. Hopefully if I can get a new phone, these blog posts will be more frequent. Nikki Giovanni has written me back again, saying that I can quote her. I am really happy about this, and I plan on submitting to several poetry journals before the release date of my poetry book to build up my literary resume. I also plan on shooting a YouTube video for my first novel Nostalgia. Other than that, I found Victor Webster on Twitter. I didn't realize that he had a small role on Lincoln Heights (the show I've been watching online for the past week). So mostly everything is good, and Prime Magazine is having a poetry contest, which I am trying hard to facilitate.

I think my hugest decision is that I'm going to a Writers Conference in New York on November 5th. I've paid for the conference and my parents are helping me pay for it. Janet Reid is supposed to be there, along with many other good agents. Hopefully I can get some insight and hopefully I can keep trying to get Nostalgia published. I would like to finish Renovatio by the end of next year, but with all of these projects going on and midterm season, it's a little hard too balance everything.

But now I think for the first time in a long time, my vision is clear and I can see where I'm going with no distractions.

What I'm Listening To: Baby Got Back (Sir Mix-A-Lot)

Why do heat waves decide to come over the weekend? And with rain? I find that odd. I just realized that I haven't written anything really this whole weekend. I actually studied for my Spanish class (which was funny since I just started to today)and watched my Smallville season DVDs. I was laughing and sighing over Justin Hartley in his first episodes in the series. I don't know who is better Justin Hartley or Victor Webster. I'm definitely doing a side by side comparison. I forget who's younger though. Green Arrow was my reason for watching Smallville when it kept getting more and more bizarre. For those of you who don't know me, here are my three actors: Victor Webster (for all his work on Mutant X and Charmed, should go see if I can scrounge up those Days of Our Lives episodes he was in). He seems completely humble about his work. Justin Hartley for his work in Smallville and Passions. Chase Crawford, just because. I watch Gossip Girl occasionally, but sometimes his character annoys me, plus it's the name of an ex and a past jilted crush, lol. I liked him in the Covenant, even though he didn't get much screen time and the movie otherwise was a disaster. These are my three actors, I don't really know if they will change. I have to do my actresses another time :)
