What I'm Listening To: Good Girl Gone Bad-Rihanna
I finally got home yesterday after finishing my final exams. The last ones were brutal because I was really under the weather, so I ended up at home for a few days. It's good to be back and the Christmas atmosphere is definitely in the air. For some reason, I find myself going on perezhilton.com almost daily now. I curiously went on the site last week, and now I'm hooked. I guess once you go Perez, you can't go back!
In other news, I went to see the Princess and the Frog. It was a cute Disney movie, but of course everyone talked about how they ruined a classic or how it was racist or demonic. First of all, who would want to see the exact same thing of the regular version? Although it does paralell the story The Frog Princess by E.D. Baker. And secondly, people who keep talking about racism need to get over themselves. That is why racism will keep coming up because ignorant people keep perpetuating it. And as for the demonic factor, voodoo and hoodoo is very much a part of southern culture. My own grandmother thought that things would come get her or to always practice the principle of do unto others as you would have them do to you, or that something bad will happen to you. God rest her soul.
So in short, I'm going to attempt to relax over the holidays (not likely) and re do my website and edit my book so that I can send it out soon. So stay tuned!
